Cosmetic Teeth Whitening

It's the new craze that will soon have us all in it's midst! Whether is be a tooth whitening gel or a teeth whitening toothpaste - we all want white teeth!

There has never been as much hype for teeth whitening as there is today.

This is why I am going let you know my research on the matter, as well as giving you my personal view (being a fellow teeth whitener myself!) .

So What's it all about?

You can whiten your teeth at home using mouth trays or have them whitened at the dentist, it's up to you. Both are as effective as each other and both are perfectly safe - as long as you buy well known top quality products! There is one main difference between home products and visiting your dentist and that is the price. Your dentist can charge you HUNDREDS of pounds to whiten your teeth, where as doing it at home will cost less than £100 - sometimes a lot less depending on the product!

Top 10 Ways to Beat Wrinkles

We all want the perfect remedy for preventing wrinkles but unfortunately there is no magic cream yet! Although taking a few precautionary measures may help so here are our top 10 anti-wrinkle tips!

Protect your skin from the sun
The single biggest cause of skin ageing is sunlight. You should use a sun screen every single day of the year. This will help your skin from becoming prematurely aged,a as well as guard against burning.

Stop Smoking
Smoking strips your skin of oxygen and slows down the rate new cells are regenerated, it is responsible for giving skin a grey sluggish look. It can particularly cause lines around the mouth from where heavy smokers are always sucking on their cigarette.
Deep Cleanse
Many older women don't cleanse their skin as thoroughly as they should believing it may lead to more lines and dryness. However it is essential to ensure your skin is clear of dead skin cells, dirt and make up to give it a youthful glow. You don't have to use harsh products, you can buy cream cleansers that you can wipe away with cotton wool for example.

Deep Moisturise
As well as daily moisturising, you can leave your night cream or usual moisturiser on your face thickly coated for 5-10 minutes then wipe away the excess to boost your water levels. This is best done on damp skin.

Boost Circulation
You can use a mans shaving brush - yes! gently massage around your face with. Lather up lots of facial wash and gently brush around to increase blood flow in your face.
Pamper Regularly
Remember to treat yourself now and then to a facial or some good face cream. It reminds you to take care of your skin and it does work in helping keep that fresh young look.
Be weather weary
Our skin changes like the seasons does, for example you may need an oil based moisturiser in the winter.

Be Gentle
Be careful not to drag at your skin when applying or removing beauty/make up products.

New Products
Some new make up products contain UV filters so it is worth checking out new products and asking what is in them for you and your skin.

Disguise Lines
Use make up to disguise lines with - just don't over do it or it can make lines look worse. Look out for products containing 'luminescent particles' which bounce the light away from your face making lines less noticeable.

Healthy Diet

Looking good isn't all just about what's on the outside - it's what is in the inside too! Healthy diet is more important than your hair style or make-up product. None of us are perfect (sometimes we don't always know what we should or shouldn't be eating) but as long as you use your common sense and include more healthy foods and don't eat as much unhealthy junk then it's a start!

Tips for Lips

Some of us can't even leave our house without putting on our lippy! So here are some tips especially for you.

1. Use lip balm before you apply.

2. If your using foundation smooth your lips over with foundation also.

3. Rest your elbow on a firm surface to apply lip pencil.

4. If you have dry flaky skin on your lips. Apply some Vaseline/petroleum jelly and leave for 10 minutes, then wipe of with a damp flannel - your lips will be smooth!

5. Make your lips look larger by wearing a bright light lip stick.

6. Make your lips look smaller by wearing dark muted lip stick.

Make Up

Here are some make-up tips just for you......

14 Tips For Perfect Eyes

1. Smooth over your eye lids with foundation to create an even base on which to work, and to give your eye make up something to cling to.

2. Sweep over your eye lids with a brush loaded with translucent face powder.

3. Dust a little translucent powder underneath your eyes to catch any falling specks.

4. Use a sponge applicator to sweep a neutral ivory shade over your eye lids, work it right up towards your eye brows for a balanced over all effect.

5. Smudge a brown eyeshadow into the socket line of your eyes, using a sponge applicator. If you find blending difficult, try using a slightly shimmery powder as these are easier to work in.

6. Use a brush to sweep over the top of the brown eye shadow as this will remove any harsh edges.

7. To create a perfectly blended finish, sweep some more ivory eyeshadow over the edges of the brown eyeshadow using a sponge applicator.

8. Now that you have finished your eye shadow flick away the powder from underneath your eyes(with a brush).

9. Looking down into a mirror and keeping your hand steady, apply liquid liner along your upper lashes.

10. Use a clean cotton bud to work some brown eyeshadow under your lower lashes to add some subtle definition.

11. Squeeze your eye lashes with eye lash curlers to make them bend, before applying mascara. This will 'open up' the eye area.

12. Apply mascara onto your upper lashes and use the tip of the mascara wand to coat your lower lashes.

13. Stroke your eyebrows with pencil to shape them and fill in any patches.

14. Smooth over the top with a cotton bud to soften the eyebrow pencil line.
